When a Missouri Lottery player’s “Millionaire Riches” Scratchers ticket revealed a $50,000 prize in Saline County, it led to an interesting reaction.

“We scanned it and tried not freaking out,” the winner shared about the ticket she purchased at C & R Markets, 212 Main St., in Slater. “We had goosebumps running down our backs!”

Since the game began in early February, players have already won more than $11.6 million in prizes statewide playing the “Millionaire Riches” Scratchers ticket. To date, more than $242.9 million in prizes have yet to be claimed on the $50 ticket – including 35 additional $50,000 prizes and 15 top prizes of $1 million.

The winner shared the good news with close family and friends.

“I haven’t had anyone say, ‘So what are you going to buy me with it?’” she chuckled.

In FY25, Saline County players won more than $4.9 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, retailers received more than $470,000 in commissions and bonuses, and more than $1.4 million in Lottery proceeds went to education programs in the county.
